Suppose you or your child get sick and must go to the doctor, but you can’t afford to take the day off because your landlord will not wait for you to pay the rent or pay the bills. What would you do?

For far too long, working Americans have had to go to work sick because they can’t afford to miss a day of work. At least 59% of restaurant workers in the District reported preparing, cooking, and serving food while sick. This increases the health risks to workers and consumers.

The Paid Sick Days for All Coalition is dedicated to make sure that all restaurant workers are able to access paid sick days and other benefits that will help improve their health and working conditions, as well as maintain the welfare of the public.

We believe that access to paid sick days for all will create:

  • Healthy
  • Healthy Businesses
  • Healthy District
